Dad was a big music lover. He enjoyed going to concerts including a Neil Diamond concert he went to at Woburn Abbey with mum. Here's a playlist of some of artists/music he loved or we associated with him :- 1) - Sweet Caroline (Neil Diamond). Dad was a big Neil Diamond fan and this tune was his 5pm alert on his phone 2) - Kaya (Bob Marley). Dad loved Bob Marley and enjoyed visiting Jamaica where Bob was born/lived 3) - The Greatest Show (From The Greatest Showman). Dad watched the Greatest Showman at an outdoor cinema in 2019, and enjoyed it so much he bought the film on Amazon 4) - Bring Him Home (From Les Mis). Dad loved Les Mis and saw it many times. He often sang songs from it around the house 5) - Mr Blue Sky (From ELO). Dad and mum saw ELO in concert at Mansfield 6) - The Theme From The Deer Hunter (The Shadows). Dad was a Shadows fan. I remember him being impressed by a busker playing this in Lowestoft in 2019. 7) - I Walk the Line (Johnny Cash). Dad loved the film Walk The Line and went through a period where he played Johnny Cash a lot 8) - Do You Hear The People Sing (Les Mis) 9) - This Is Me (The Greatest Showman) 10) - Morning Has Broken (Cat Stevens) - Dad requested this was played at his funeral (it was also played at mum's funeral) 11) - Mull Of Kintyre (Wings) - This is the tune that the Nottingham Forest song we all sung at the start of games was sung to 12) - I Dreamed A Dream (Les Mis) 13) - Yesterday Once More (The Carpenters) 14) - Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy (Bad Company) 15) - Living Next Door To Alice (Smokie) - Remember the Smokie tape with this on being played endlessly in his car at one point 16) - Time to Say Goodbye (Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman) - Dad was a big Andrea Bocelli fan and raved about his Music For Hope concert during Lockdown 17) - The Young Ones (Cliff Richard & The Shadows) 18) - Fields Of Gold (Eva Cassidy) - Dad requested this was played at the end of his funeral 19) - Me & Julio Down By The School Yard (Paul Simon) - Dad had a Paul Simon Greatest Hits CD as one of the presents for his 70th birthday. We were on a break at Llandudno during his 70th, so this CD being the theme tune of that holiday 20) - You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' (The Righteous Brothers) - Sung at Forest matches when Forest scored 21) - Can't Help Falling in Love (Elvis) 22) - Redemption Song (Bob Marley) 23) - Hey Jude (The Beatles) 24) - Over The Rainbow (Eva Cassidy) 25) - I Don't Wanna Dance (Eddy Grant) 26) - One Love (Bob Marley) - Dad requested this for his funeral 27) - Cumberland Gap (Lonnie Donegan) - Dad often 'treated' the family to his rendition of this! 28) - Running Bear (Johnny Preston) - Another one dad often treated us to! 29) - Dominic The Italian Christmas Donkey (Joey O) - A song dad got into when it was played on Radio Trent over one Christmas.
