Over the last few days I have been thinking of Christmas when we were children. John with his Mum and Dad would arrive at Shakespeare Avenue a couple of days before Christmas and they would stay till after the New Year. Christmas morning was the highlight. .John was first up asking if he been yet. He wouldn't rest until he had his presents and was always in trouble for something. Christmas was never the same when they stopped coming.
